Got our first parking ticket (of PLN 20 ... anout A$8, upon our arrival in Torun)….. somehow got a feeling that it wont be the last …. These cities are very chaotic, especially when it comes to old streets, and signage.... Where are the "Loading Zones" when you need them??
The city council let me off with a nominal fee of (PLN2.20 .. about A$1) after I played my “all the way from Australia to see the home country card” and voiced my disappointment with signage, and that I would vow never to return to the city again, and that this sort of thing doesn’t happen Down Under ….. either it was my persistence that paid off, or the queue was backing up, and they just wanted to let it go !
