MALBORK

Sunday headed to Malbork, approx 60km south…. Where the Teutonic Knights (a German Order whose mission was to establish and protect Christianity in Europe ) settled and built a huge castle in 14th century….Spend most of afternoon exploring the castle … quite a site.
Below is the flags of medieval Poland (predominant red and white colours, as on today’s flag .. and white eagle which is the national coat of arms), and the Teutonic knights which also uses the eagle, but colours are more reflective of their German roots.
