ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Thursday morning it was time to hit the road …. Didn’t really want to drive in Poznan (no real need).
Driving on the right side (first for me) is quite an experience, and driving in Poland (and probably anywhere else in Europe) is much different to driving in Australia ….. speed limit is 70km, everybody seems to sit on 100 … and every third car overtakes at 120plus... so it appears that speed is only limited to how fast one’s car can go, and having enough money in wallet to keep the police happy, if caught.
Once out of Poznan, we decided to head for Kolobrzek, a popular summer holiday destination, on the Baltic Sea, 275 km north) … thinking by Australian standards it would be a 3 hour drive.
Meandered through small villages, forests, lakes, and wheat fields in full crop ….. it was typical Poland … Sitting on 90 for most of way, and frequently slowing to 40 through small villages, the trip took about 6 hours …. car has been re-named: “THE NUGGET”
