EVERYONE GOES TO VEGAS

So for the weekend, the folks, the girls, and of course me, headed to Las Vegas.
I flew in on Friday night (after work), and they all drove during the day.
We stayed on the strip at the Monte Carlo casino ... and on Saturday night saw the show “LOVE by Circue de Soleil” (based on The Beatles music) ... it was AWESOME!!!
Once again, my personal favourite was the old Vegas downtown, and the Fremont experience.

911 CARRERA

So I finally organised insurance .. and today on the weekend took the car out for a spin.... very exciting stuff (and it was 30 degree day).

I really like the custom carbon-fiber interior work .. and the custom black leather with red stiching.

FOLKS IN LA

Im looking forward to my seeing my parents, who are flying in this weekend (from Adelaide via New Zealand) ... so another trip to LAX .... but this time I’m not leaving anywhere.
Its been 9 months since we have seen each other ... so I’m well overdue for giving mum a big hug.
(Also Pamela is flying in for few weeks, as well as her London friend/roommate Alex, who is on her way back to Australia).

BACK TO LA into a NEW HOUSE

This week I flew back into LAX at 4pm ... and then moved straight into a new house ... a 3 bedroom “BeachHouse”, approx 50m from Newport Beach (above photo is view from balcony).
The place has a great feel ....and once the chaos of jet-lag/work/moving/other settles down, I know I will really enjoy living here.
Oh .. its got parking for 4 cars .... which helps .. now that I need to garage the Porsche (which I still haven’t taken out, as I need to organize insurance ... which is bit complicated on account of me not having a USA driving license .... (getting someone to insure me is not a problem, except most companies charge a lot if you have a an international license)

AROUND PORUGAL

We rented a car for few days, and drove around the southern coast.

LISBON

My last return to Europe for 2008 .... and being a long weekend (for me, due to Labour day in USA), we decided to head to Lisbon.
Lisbon/Portugal has been on my list of “Places to go” for quite a while.. and it did not disappoint.
I was little surprised how untouristy it was ... for a big capital city, it had a very laid back feel about it .. or maybe we were out during the hours of siestas.!?

Oh yeh .. and the food was great!!
